We are delighted to announce that the Click for Change project has been officially funded by the Portuguese National Agency. Free European Youth e.V. will join the initiative as an international partner, supporting a mobility experience that connects digital participation with active citizenship and social innovation.
Meeting in Braga, Portugal
The project will take place from 12 to 19 August 2026 in Braga, Portugal. Young people from across Europe will come together for an intensive programme of non-formal learning, teamwork, intercultural exchange, and practical digital activities.
Braga will provide an inspiring setting for participants to exchange perspectives, build international connections, and explore how digital tools can support positive change in their communities.
Promoting Digital Participation
Digital platforms have become an important space for communication, learning, participation, and public debate. Click for Change will help participants better understand how to use these spaces responsibly, creatively, and effectively.
Through workshops and practical exercises, young people will explore digital communication, online collaboration, media literacy, responsible content creation, and methods for reaching wider audiences. They will also discuss the opportunities and challenges connected to online participation.
Strengthening Active Citizenship
The project will encourage participants to become more involved in the social and civic life of their communities. Activities will explore democratic participation, inclusion, human rights, community needs, and the role young people can play in shaping decisions that affect them.
By working in international groups, participants will learn how to listen to different perspectives, communicate their ideas, and transform shared concerns into constructive initiatives.
Turning Ideas into Social Innovation
A central part of the programme will focus on social innovation. Participants will identify challenges faced by young people and develop creative, realistic responses using digital tools and collaborative methods.
Team-based activities may include campaign development, digital storytelling, community action planning, and the design of small initiatives that can be adapted and implemented after the mobility.
Learning Through Non-Formal Education
Click for Change will use non-formal education methods that place participants at the centre of the learning process. Interactive workshops, simulations, reflection activities, peer learning, and intercultural evenings will create an inclusive environment in which young people can learn by doing.
These methods will support the development of digital competences as well as communication, teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.
Free European Youth as a Project Partner
As a partner organisation, Free European Youth e.V. will contribute to participant preparation, communication, learning activities, dissemination, and follow-up. We will also support participants in sharing their learning and applying the project’s methods within their local communities after returning home.
