In the first application round of 2026, two projects by Free European Youth e.V. were funded by the German National Agency under Erasmus+: "Mindful Actions for Resilient and Confident Leadership" and SPORTIFY. With both projects, we continue our work for the personal development, well-being, and active participation of young people and youth workers.

The training course "Mindful Actions for Resilient and Confident Leadership" is aimed at youth workers and strengthens their skills in the areas of mindfulness, self-awareness, resilience, and emotional regulation. Through non-formal education methods, practical exercises, reflection, and mindful communication, participants learn to better understand their own leadership style, recognize their strengths and limitations, and make responsible decisions more confidently.

Another focus of the project is the healthy management of stress, uncertainty, emotional pressure, and challenging group situations. Through peer learning and intercultural exchange, practical methods are developed that can be applied directly in daily youth work. This aims to create safer, more inclusive, and supportive learning environments and to sustain the impact of the project beyond the core activity itself.

SPORTIFY uses non-competitive sports and non-formal education to support young people in overcoming emotional and social challenges. In a safe and inclusive environment, physical activities, cooperative games, trust exercises, peer reflection, and intercultural learning are combined. This aims to strengthen participants' emotional resilience, self-confidence, and personal coping strategies while building new social connections.

At the same time, SPORTIFY promotes intercultural dialogue and the active participation of young people. Jointly developed follow-up activities, local initiatives, digital campaigns, and youth-led actions are intended to help carry the experiences from the project into local communities and contribute to greater inclusion, well-being, and youth participation in the long term.

The funding of these two projects by the German National Agency enables Free European Youth e.V. to further expand international cooperation and create new learning and participation opportunities. We look forward to implementing the projects together with our partners and sharing the results with young people and organizations in Europe.
